Beauty Heals

And Cavy Beauty Heals Deeply

“Beauty has great power to heal the soul.”

When I first heard that line in The Rings of Power (JRR Tolkien's epic series), I felt it all the way through me. At the time, I was reading a book called Beauty and the Soul: The Extraordinary Power of Everyday Beauty to Heal Your Life -- one of those quiet coincidences that feels more like a sign from the universe.

These days, I find myself chasing beauty with purpose. I’m drawn to color, light, texture -- any ordinary thing that catches my eye in a certain way. Maybe it’s because the world feels a little fractured right now. As an empath, animal rescuer, and try-my-best vegan, I can feel that dissonance in the air -- too much noise, too little kindness. It's hard to find peace.

So I’ve been grounding myself in what restores me. Creating art. Surrounding myself with color, joy, and quiet moments. Beauty, even in the smallest things, pulls me back into balance.

That’s the heartbeat behind Piggy Pop: finding healing and joy in the everyday magic around us. The swirl of pen on paper. The warm glow of a morning sunbeam. The calm that comes from simply noticing.

Because beauty doesn’t just decorate life -- it restores it. One hue, one stroke, one gentle wheek at a time.
